The MP40 submachine gun was manufactured by Erma and Steyr between 1940 and 1944. Over a million of this highly maneuverable and compact weapon were produced during this period. Its equally well-known predecessors were the MP36 and MP38.
This 9×19 mm blowback rifle features a zinc die-cast receiver and frame, a cold-forged special steel barrel, a milled steel slide, a locking bolt for optimal accuracy, a robust extractor claw, an active ejector, and a folding rear sight. It comes with five interchangeable front sights.
