The GSG Firefly is a 10% smaller, self-loading pistol in the design of a SIG SAUER P226 in .22lr caliber, with the same operating system and safety features. The only difference from its larger counterpart is the breech mechanism, which uses a blowback system.
Equipped with an ergonomic polymer grip and black plastic grip panels, a single and dual-function trigger, a Picatinny rail for attaching a laser or bridge mount, a metal magazine, an ambidextrous safety lever, a decoder disconnect lever, and an adjustable sight.
The GSG Firefly also features a magazine safety and a child safety lock that can be activated or deactivated with the included key. It is popular with both sport shooters and hunters as a versatile and affordable backup weapon for trapping game.
